Song Tournament (October 2023)

I'd hoped that someone else would step up as the new host of our song tournaments now that @Chypmunk has seemingly retired to a cozy den somewhere with his life's collection of nuts and seeds, but after several months with no volunteers, I guess it's time for your resident murder clown to assume the responsibility. These song tournaments have been one of my favorite aspects of Movie Forums over the last several years, introducing me to numerous great songs and artists previously unknown to me. The song tournaments also encourage me to remain adventurous in my own listening habits in the search for future nominations, so I'd hate to see the tournaments be permanently discontinued. Hopefully enough interest remains that we can continue the tradition 3-4 times a year, as we have in the past.
