Anyways, saw Speed Racer. Special effects are cool but all in all I give it . Besides the special FX, it was as corny as *****!!! I would rather watch the cartoon or a 2 hr CGI version of the toon itself.

I certainly wasn't planning on seeing this in the theatre, but I would have guessed that I would have rated it higher than with the Bros. on board. What makes it worth that low a rating for you? I would have thought that Speed Racer couldn't be attacked for being overly corny because essentially its essence is pure corn, and that's why fans love it. The trailer looked like it delivered the goods. Were the actors just cardboard cutouts, or did you like any of them?

If you've ever seen the cartoon, know what you are getting yourself into. If you are expecting amazing CGI and car chase action....I guess you will be satisfied, but won't like what the rest of the movie has to offer.

Having the Wachowski Bros on board might sound like a big whoop, but it ain't. As for the actors Emile Hirsch, Christina Ricci, John Goodman, Susan Sarandon and Matthew Fox they may be big names....but they are their worst roles. Sure Ricci looked cute, but that id like her best attribute. Like Isaid the film had cool FX, but it was literally a piece of crap. Honest. I am looking forward to Indiana Jones, Hancock and The Dark Knight next.

My younger cousins are pretty hyped up about this movie. They didn't even know Speed Racer was an old cartoon, but when kids get into a trance when you show them bright colorful lights and fast cars.

My brother in Law went to see this at a midnight showing. He fell asleep half way through. Him, a theater manager, and another guy were the people who only showed up.

saw it on imax with my niece and loved it, thought the effects were great and the overall movie was great, sure it was kiddy and had corny lines

still a great popcorn flick, people expect way too much out of certain movies these days.

HA HA HA!! It was a flop in the theaters. Well so was Mars Attacks. But Mars Attacks did much better! Just goes to show ya people like Martian invasion movies better!!

Anyway, I Saw This Back In Theaters, It Was A Pretty Good Movie, As Long As You Were Only Expecting A Fun Movie.

I used mars attacks because it was a flop like speed racer was. Only mars attacks did much better in the box office. Is this ok now?
