That's right, the film has a very young Natalie Portman at the start of her film career...and at the other end of the spectrum is veteran actress Sylvia Sydney who's career started in the 1930s and made only one more film after this one.

With all the attention Burton gives to the production values, he still manages to get some solid performances from his cast, especially Nicholson, who beautifully underplays as the President, and Brown, who seems to be doing a lampoon of the films he did early in his career, but his stone-faced deli....
