I'm in. I never care if it's a remake since the original is always there. And who knows. There is always the chance of pulling off a miracle just like "The Thing" back in '82.

I did enjoy the original though but I'm still eager to see how this would play out. I'd rather they keep the serious tone of course or THEN I will be disappointed.

when will people learn, god they make me so angry! When did it become acceptable in hollywood to just remake everything and not come up with original stories anymore. Only like 1 remake in every 100 is any good.

I saw this movie recently. Of course it wasn't nearly as good at the original. It wasn't as clear cut. They tried to have a happy ending. Still it didn't suck as bad as I was expecting.
