Marijuana makes you dumber, true. But it's nice, pleasant, cosy and it smells good and tastes good. You often laugh your ass off, you sleep really well and you are not hung over the next day. It doesn't make you violent and if you smoke too much you might feel sick for a while and then you fall asleep. Listening to music or having sex on marijuana is quite exceptional. But I have never believed that people become more creative when on dope. That's a myth, no doubt about it.
Marijuana, just like alcohol or any other drug, is for relaxing and having fun. It will never make you a better person and of course it's not good for your health. A little bit, now and then... that's how you do it. Or, that's how I do it.
I have a friend who grow his own and it's nice not having to buy from crooks or to support big drug syndicates. It would be nice to be able to grow your own stuff legally, but at the same time it wouldn't take long before weed was commercialized. Then, automatically, people would be in business of making big bucks on making other people heavily addicted to this drug. And just look at all the problems we have because of alcohol. I don't think society can handle one more legal drug like that. So, I prefer to smoke illegally and hope that the cops go after the big fish. Which they do as long as us sprats handle things smoothly.

They had temporarily escaped the factories, the warehouses, the slaughterhouses, the car washes - they'd be back in captivity the next day but now they were out - they were wild with freedom. They weren't thinking about the slavery of poverty. Or the slavery of welfare and food stamps. The rest of us would be all right until the poor learned how to make atom bombs in their basements.
