I...

...have never seen The Bodyguard. Invalidate my ballot if need be.

I for one advocate you being forgiven if you watch one scene.
Enjoy

(and admit it, you want to watch more, right?...)

Maybe it will make my ballot for the '90s countdown part III.

I've seen The Bodyguard many times and I've always liked it. I was a huge Costner fan as a kid, I still have a soft spot for him, and I voted for some of his movies - but The Bodyguard wasn't one of them.

I seriously think we should do a Top 200 instead. And it's not because I was a teenager in the 90s and am nostalgic to see more 90s movies talked about fondly.
Or how about a second 100 after we've done the top 100. That's fun right. Let's do it!

Like the fella says, in Italy for 30 years under the Borgias they had warfare, terror, murder, and bloodshed, but they produced Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, and the Renaissance. In Switzerland they had brotherly love - they had 500 years of democracy and peace, and what did that produce? The cuckoo clock."

Also I want to conduct an unofficial poll to see who would have voted for Beau Travail and where it would have placed, then add up the numbers and unofficially insert it into the Top 100. I'll go first. I would have had it at #3. So 23 points. Who else? Quote this post. Or maybe I bring it over to the main countdown thread when it's started.

No, please do not bring it over the main countdown thread - you wanna grouse and talk and do an unofficial whatever about that, do it here, this is the place for that. But the other is a fresh start, clean slate - you might as well go post that stuff at the 2000 countdown, because it could have gone there as well (and that's where I'd have posted it)
But I'm personally sick to death of hearing about Travail, and I don't want it over in the new thread (or rehashing any other debates about what should or shouldn't have been included), can you do me a solid and do that for me?

Including Beau Travail should've been an easy fix. It was shown on various festivals in 1999, but they're listed as "premieres" on TMDB. The site only counts regular or limited releases when listing the film's release date, but any of those festival releases could've been listed as "limited" and have it as a 1999 release.

Maybe it will make my ballot for the '90s countdown part III.

Incidentally, I've made a note to be on your case at the appropriate time.

Whatever the host of these things is just the person who collects and posts the movies. It's all of our list. I will fill the thread with Travail!
