Everyone and their mother wonders about those chains.
LOL. I've been noticing that. I guess the icey zombies just have really big pockets.

Oh I misunderstood. What was the poster?

Seeing as how it's known now...

I dont get it. What did you preempt from that? Sorry but it's stupid oclock here.

Nice poster, though, but I;m sorry you got a spoiler. The spoilers I got (not here but on official fb page) were fake, thank goodness.

Oh derpez moi. I finally get it. I got confused by the peta and meat eating comment and was wondering when the dragon got eaten. 'Scuse me while I screw my head back on.

Still fan made, no way they are promoting that before the ep airs.

How do we know it wasn't part of the leaks?

I had originally seen it in a comment section.

Well it;s not from the storyboard, and it doesnt look like an official poster. I'm going with TUS - fan made. I want it.

This was the highlight of this rain shortened season so far.

I still want to know why they weren't carrying huge weapons made of dragonglass. They now have a ton of it. And don't say they still had to mine it and forge it, because it's clear that time now means nothing in terms of storyline.
If you look closely it appears they had dragonglass weapons.

The Adventure Starts Here!
Gendry's hammer's not dragonglass. I guess Longclaw is okay... is it Valyrian steel? I don't remember what dragonglass does, but doesn't it make them go poof?

I suppose I shall have to do another rewatch. Such is life.

I ship those two.

Longclaw is Valerian steel, Dragonglass made a White Walker turn ice-like then shatter when Sam killed one

The what now?

What can you expect from a guy called Gwilym Mumford.

Miaow.

That elusive hide-and-seek cow is at it again
I now assume that they must have had dragon glass weaponry. I mean, they were knocking down a lot of undead walkers. While none of them burst into shards of wtfever, and they never outright said they had it on them, how else can you explain the fallen not getting back up? Maybe only the WK's generals (?) burst when cut with dragon glass. The peons just fall over?

Disappointed on a few things. Spoilers below. If you haven't seen it, stop reading here.
WARNING: "stuff" spoilers below

  • I had hoped Drogon would sense Jon's danger and choose to fly to the rescue without Dany, opening the door to reveal his bloodline. I'm ok with what happened, but I think that would have been AWESOME!
  • The whole idea of going to King's Landing to face Cersei seems absolutely stupid to me, given her history of killing EVERYONE. Even with the walker, her pride would have her assume that she could kill Jon and still lay claim to the armies of the North. She would use them as her defense assuming it would be enough; but I seriously doubt she could see past her own bloodlust to be so rational. Instead, she would kill Jon and that be that. As Jon, this seems like a no-brainer calculation.
  • Yet again, Jon finds himself in a situation where someone else must rescue his dumb ass at some high cost of life. I don't mean Dany showing up. That's cool, I guess, but why did he have to blindly charge out AWAY from the dragon. That was annoying. They were trying to escape, not charge further in. Everything following only played out because of this, yet again, poor judgment on Snow's part. Idiot.
  • Falling into a river/lake/body of water didn't kill Jaime, so why wouldn't the writers use that as a setup to show no one dies from water in the GoT universe? Well. Except dragons. Stupid dragons.
  • Benjen. Wait. What? Who? WHERE? How? And why did he wait until the last minute to bother? So Jon could have technically remained still and not stumble around drawing attention to himself and maybe could have survived? I mean, the walkers were all leaving by that point.
  • But wait!!! If they were later going to reassemble to drop chains and drag a corpse back up, why were they leaving to begin with then?! Oh yeah. I guess time scale. Maybe this scene happened days after the battle. And maybe that's why they were all clearing out immediately after Dany and crew left. I mean it was long enough for the team to find a boat and revive Snow. Still annoys me given everything else!

le grrrr!!

That's what the dragon said.

I just had a random thought - if the dragon's name was Puff, what would it change to if he starts blowing ice? Meth the Magic Dragon?

OK I;ll go away and hide now.

bweahahahaha
must have been a relative of Michael Scott.

We've gone on holiday by mistake
Just thinking, did the writers HAVE to let the Dragon sink AT ALL? It could die off to the side on land, then no need for any silly chains.

RE; Weapons, they are clearly using dragonglass weapons vs the dead, the Hound dispenses with the hammer and gets out 2 dragonglass daggers, Tormund has what looks like a dragonglass axe, they kill the Bear with a dragonglass dagger. Jon Snow using Valerian (does this kill Wights though), Berric his fire sword which kills them. It was quite unclear watching the leaked ep though.

It looked better. Just croaking on the land wouldnt have been very interesting.

What was the quality of the leak like, G?
