It has to be ...Whatever happened to Baby Jane..and Silence of the Lambs. Still I get the creeps thinking about those two films.

apocolypse now and 9th Gate have their moments

I didn't read all 228 replies in this thread, so apologies if I'm repeating someone else here.

I consider myself stronghearted (is that a word?). I've seen my fair share of gore, death, nastyness and all that (on film, mind you, on film). But one movie that truly did disturb me was Irreversible.

Don't take this wrong, it's a fantastic movie! It's kind of like Memento with a bite, but that scene ... Oh my god! I knew what was coming, I'd read about it, but still. Blew me away. Utterly harrowing!

Cheers, Martin

It's all subjective I think because what is disturbing to one person is not disturbing to another. But to me personally the top three disturbing movies are probably Repulsion, Taxi Driver, and Lilith

Kaiser "The Devil" Soze
Requiem for a Dream : Enough has been said by others and I pretty much agree with all the points that makes this movie disturbing.

Battle Royale: I don't know if they dubbed this movie yet (entirely in japanese with english subtitles) but the premise of the movie is very disturbing.

Cube: The Consensus of "the people" seems to think this movie was really bad, I thought it was pretty genius and interesting but thats another story for another forumn. Anyways, this film was very disturbing, about strangers trapped in a giant cube filled with deadly traps and they must find a way out (like running a gaunlet).

Requiem for A dream

Pet Sematary (I can't watch the Zelda Scenes)

Last House on the Left

The Fly II - Saw this when it was released, and the poor dog, I just hated that whole concept and it bothered me for some time. I like doggies

What I found disturbing was:

WARNING: "Requiem for a Dream" spoilers below
The shock therapy session, the arm sore, ass to ass, and all the office visits by Ellen Burstyn.

I still really like the film though, and am due for another viewing soon methinks. All I need to do is stop popping Blade Runner in every time I walk up to the DVD player.

Pretty much the entire last half an hour, with the shock therapy, the dil** thing, and Leto's arm.

I feel the EXACT same way. Zelda is the creepiest thing ever.

Has anyone seen MEET THE FEEBLES? If not heres a brief description giant life sized puppets making pornography, setting up drug deals, massacres, contracting STDs, bribery, adultry... and thats a sugar coated description. Think muppets on crack.

another title springs to mind... May have already been mentioned but I'm not searching through 10 pages to find out. Bad Taste was repulsively gross and disturbing.

Deliverance, any man who values their anal virginity MUST be repulsed and disturbed by this film, i suppose this means Pulp Fiction should be included (??)
Audition, wasn't disturbing as much as it was messed up but wen ur watching it at 1am its quite disturbing
Braindead, wen eating the custard with puss and blood, very sickening also wen his mum puts him back in her womb-nasty stuff

True Romance very intense/disturbing especially the scene with Patricia Arquette and Tony Soprano
Evil Dead, tree rape?!
