New Final Fantasy

Apparently they are making a new Final Fantasy movie, that will be a sequel to the game Final Fantasy VII, which is considered by many(me included) to be the best in the series. A straight to dvd movie, called Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children.
Found this on IGN - "Long rumored to be a standard videogame sequel to the ultra-popular Final Fantasy VII, Advent Children is more accurately described as an Interactive Movie that takes place two years after the end of the PS One game. Or at least, that's what Square Enix has alluded to it being."

I believe it is going to be a standard dvd release, therefore it will not be released on computer. It is not a game. Its a movie, possibly interactive, but I doubt it.

if u watch X-play anytime they show clips of the movie all teh time it looks relly good

I am a massive FF fan and have played many from the original on the old NES up to FFX which was great as well. I have to agree on VII being the best though. This was just an amazing game in every way and I will be glad to revisit Cloud et al again

I didn't pick up FFX-2 as it goes a little to far into the camp catagory. A FF game has finally let me down

Well ill agree to the fact that the CG was great, but the storyline was weak and made too much of a departure from what fans of FF excepted. Spirits and aliens, big whoop! They should have done what square is doing rite now. Not only will it attract alot of viewers (considering alot of fans love FF7) it will also have a higher likely hood not to suck. Look at the buzz thats going around already just by learning about the charcters (Barret,Cloud,possible Vincent,possible Sepiroth or clone)

they need to make a final fantasy VIII movie. that was the only one i liked playing. and the end was so unfulfilling. they squall and rinoa are just like flying to the moon. uh-huh..

Ya they really pushed the Fantasy part to the max.
