Vicky & Nebs, finally saw the movie (just like I promised)

EDIT: Oh Yeah!! Walter Sobchak has to be one of the best characters I have seen... He'd give Travis Bickle a tough competition IMO.
Just now saw this. Glad you enjoyed it, though I was hoping you'd enjoy it more than you did. Still, now you know why it's so beloved.

Still haven't watched Taxi Driver. It's on Today's to-do list, though.

Love The Big Lebowski, it's one of my favorite movies and definitely the best Coen Brothers film (2. Fargo, 3. No Country For Old Men, 4. Miller's Crossing).

I really didn't expect to like this movie when my friend suggested it....it ended up being one of my all-time favorites. I still think of this movie anytime I see/hear the word nihilist.

I'm going to have to watch this again... I could tell what they were going for, but almost nothing in this movie worked for me. It felt like a misfire (albeit, a Cohen Bros version of a misfire). I feel that, like Pulp Fiction, you either get caught in its current or you dont.

I didn't like it the first time now it is one of my favourites so give it another go

i also did not like it the first time, nor do i intend to watch it once again

This was definitely a fantastic movie. However I have to say... cmon? Fargo? I can never stop watching this movie when its on TV!

Having recently seen The Big Lebowski for the first time, I thought it was kind of overrated.

that film is boring and stupid...first time i saw it was last year,i was high and it was not funny...how much comedy have to suck to be unfunny when you are high

I wasn't calling you ugly. I was implying that a lot of people here like the movie and probably won't respond well to someone calling it "boring and stupid."

I like it okay, myself.

i'm SUPER GOOD at Jewel karaoke
i really like The Big Lebowski, but i won't respond badly to someone who thinks it's boring or stupid. i'll just assume that person doesn't know what they're talking about.

The Big Lebowski is my favorite film, ollanik. I'm not gonna tell you you're wrong. To each his own. But I will, however, suggest that you give it some time and watch it again (not stoned this time) and see what you think. It only benefits from repeat viewing.
