    Well Ikiru is definitely an original, but I'll look around and see what comes close. Other Kurosawa films are a must, I haven't seen a film of his that I didn't like.

    Of course I've seen Ikiru, it's ranked #105 in my top 200 list. Are you looking for similar films dealing with death? or the search for meaning? or is it the style the film was made that interests you? What else directed by Kurosawa have you seen and did you like them? I'll look around my lists and see what may interest you, but send me a PM or something expanding on this comment.
