For the most part it also looks like a film from the 70s (it's mostly the colors, I suppose, that have this vintage feel to them - I can't really describe it).

I believe It is the best horror movie ever, but there's no doubt this movie is a proper horror thrill ride that doesn't base itself on blood and gore in lue of actual scare tactics.
