The film's political and social satire also seems to get jettisoned the longer it goes on and tries to just make people feel uncomfortable for the hell of it.
For better or worse, his films push boundaries, challenge the viewer, and leave us feeling completely shell-shocked a lot of the time.
There is probably no one exactly like Frank (Dennis Hopper) in the world, or at least I hope not, but that's ok because he's supposed to be an exaggerated form of craziness and evil.I also don't think that Frank is just a person, I think he represents the evil of the world.
