The former is pretty much a given considering the elements that make up Glen's side of the plot (underground bunker, chain-link compound on the surface, plans to make the zombies less dangerous and more "civilised", etc.), whereas Jovovich's plot definitely uses a lot of elements from the ....

But when the climax began and the villain starts to leap out of his character and into some kind of generic videogame boss, as per usual in the Resident Evil films, I began to lose interest and brain cells.
