The best horror movie I have ever seen and currently the 10th greatest movie I have ever seen.

With modern horror films relying on the classic jump scares and blood to entertain or incorporate "gotcha" moments, The Witch was a surprisingly refreshing slow burn of a film that eats away at you from the inside.

The VVitch touches upon a number of potentially unsettling concepts in telling its tale of a puritan family being torn apart in one way or another by not just the presence of a witch but also by their own increasingly strained relationships with one another on a failing farm.
