Witch hunt movie; made 2000-2016 probably; witch and guy fall in love

In this movie there's a witch hunter who trains another younger fella to become a witch hunter, an apprentice I suppose. A girl witch (young teenager probably) is sent by her evil witch coven to spy on them or something I think and the witch becomes good and helps them defeat the evil coven. The apprentice and girl fall in love. In the end there's this powerful staff with a red crystall ball thing on the end that is used to defeat the witches.
Also this movie took place in an era with horseback and stuff; not modern.

It doesn't really sound like Season of Witch (can't remember a staff, specifically but the teenage witch was being transported) or Black Plague, but I feel like I'm getting closer. If it's not any of the above, that is.

It's none of the above movies, and I am sure it was a movie and not a TV show.
