It seems the 1991 action movie is getting a remake. It's being directed by Ericson Core, and is starring Gerrard Butler (Swayzes role), and Luke Bracey (Reeves Role).

At the end of the day, Point Break is as uneven and as choppy as the waves these dudes surf in, but it's still a pretty cool ride.

Point Break is a film that really does come across as goofy and corny at points, but I think it's done very much on purpose.

Since Busey has his own rather outlandish theory that the members of the Ex-Presidents spend their time surfing when they're not pulling heists, he works with Reeves to conduct an undercover operation that involves the latter attempting to infiltrate the local surfing community.
