While the bulk of the Halloween series is loosely connected to the holiday by a serial killer who always carries out his murders on Halloween night, Halloween III opts to show its faith in the concept by going even deeper into the holiday's mythology with its extraordinarily bizarre premise.
I remember this film back in 1982, and the tv spots alone had us running around the sidewalks at dusk screaming like banshees, imagining how much of an incredible event Halloween III was going to be.
Horror and not corporate intrigue is on this movie's mind first, though, i.e., the horrors of losing the ability to make decisions for yourself and of forced conformity.
