My Top 10 Comic Book Movies

As much as I love horror, I'm also a huge fan of comic book films. There are actually very few in this genre that I dislike, such as Ghost Rider, the sequel to which I never bothered to watch. These are some of my personal favorites.

I appreciate people have different opinions when watching movies and we don't all agree on favourites but Green Lantern...surely you must be joking right?

10. Superman/Batman: these are the original movies and I just couldn't split them.

I'm surprised that someone mentioned The Green Lantern. It wasn't great, but I found it enjoyable.
And I also agree with the last commenter mentioning Watchmen. Excellent flick.

Since I'm more of a Marvel fan, I'm going to list my top ten favorite Marvel films even though I think things like TDK and A History of Violence are exceptional comic book films in general.

I'm not a comic book guy, and I'm totally not a superhero guy. But there have been some good movies that came from comic books.

Sin City, V for Vendetta, Dark Knight for Ledger, wish it wasn't a Batman movie, but compared to any Batman before, Nolan's kicks ass; and Kick-Ass kicks ass, really, it goes so over the top and politically incorrect I just gotta love it.

In terms of a pure comic book feel, nothing comes close to achieving that than Sin City, for me. It's not for everyone, but I loved it and it's visuals/cinematography are superb and do what they set out to do perfectly, as Ebert says:

"This isn't an adaptation of a comic book, it's like a comic book brought to life and pumped with steroids."
