Favorite Oscar Winner?

PRE-EDIT
What is your favorite Oscar winner?
Meaning films that have won Best Picture, any performance that has won an Oscar, or just any movie that has won any kind of Oscar? U-571, Harry and the Hendersons and The Ghost and the Darkness are all Oscar winners.

There is an existing thread, HERE, but it was in 2005, didn't have a whole lot of responses, and there have been four more Best Picture winners since then. But he did have the decency to ask what he was looking for from the start and to give the list of all the winners from Wings to The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King.

I'll stick with my picks from there, with All Quiet on the Western Front, Casablanca, Lawrence of Arabia, The Godfather and Unforgiven as the best of the Best Picture winners with The Greatest Show on Earth, Around the World in 80 Days, Out of Africa, The English Patient and Gladiator the worst Best Picture winners. And if I have to pick from among those ten I'll go with Lawrence of Arabia as #1 and The Greatest Show on Earth as the worst of the worst.

Just curious... if you're in an answering mood that is. Which flick would you have given the Oscar to besides Out of Africa? Do you hate it? Or just think its undeserving? I could get behind that, I really like it but it doesn't seem like a Best Picture type of flick to me.

I just plain don't think much of it as a film. Of the other nominees Prizzi's Honor and Witness are much better to me, but most of what I consider to be the best stuff made that year didn't even get nominated (as usual): Brazil, RAN, After Hours, Lost in America...Out of Africa wouldn't even squeak into my top thirty for 1985. To me it does stick out as one of the least movies to be named Best Picture.

But, you know, different strokes and all.

So many good movies, so little time.
I'll go with :

Casablanca
The Godfather

You and Holden should get a lump of coal from Santa for not liking that movie more.
