Hot Fuzz (5 viewings)

+ action scenes are amazing
+ great music
+ hillarious (trash can throw ftw)
+ great story
+ tons of movie references

A+ another classic from edgar wright and company

Superbad (1 viewing)

+ great visual style
+ characters are deep enough
+ non-stop hillarious
+ whole movie happens in one day
+ beautifull die-hard ending shot

A+ lived up to the huge hype - even better than knocked up

Blade Runner - Directors Cut (2 viewings)

+ amazing looking setting
+ great story
+ amazing ending
+ harrison ford
- there is about 40 minutes of people sitting , walking , standing or doing nothing
- it says on the back of the dvd that the narration was taken out - which might have made the long boring pauses of people sitting/walking actually watchable
- colors for the most part look bleak

D+ it's a great idea for a movie but the pointless and boring scenes make the movie feel like it should only be about an hour long

The Yakuza Papers (1 incomplete viewing)

- story goes way too fast with too many characters and is extremly hard to even try to understand what goes on

F from the director of battle royale another big let-down

Rush Hour 3 (1 viewing)

+ tons of refrences to previous ones
+ action is pretty intense
+ tons of funny parts
+ OMG ROFL ending
+ out-takes are hillarious again
- like always there basicly is no story

A rush hour fans will get a ton out of this movie

Mallrats (2 viewings)

+ lots of funny parts
+ blowup doll
+ jay and silent bob are funny most of the time
+ cousin walter
- when it tries not to be super cartoony like the rest of the movie
- dumber than dumb story
- hillariously bad acting

B- a cartoony fake version of clerks , but can still be funny

Aqua Teen Hunger Force : Movie Film for Theatres for DVD (3 viewings)

+ hillarious non stop
+ mc pee pants's europeon beat
+ OMFG ending
+ every line meatwad says is basicly the funniest thing ever said

A+ lives up to the show in a big way

The Simpsons Movie (1 viewing)

+ tons of jokes in the first half
+ great alternate ending
+ lol bart's d**k
- last 20 minutes is pretty much laugh-less , and generic ending
- story although there kind of is one - is thin

B worth seeing defintly

Clerks (3 viewings)

+ the movie is worked out in small clips which works great for this kind of humor
+ hillarious
+ jay and silent bob are the funniest they've ever bene
+ whole movie happens in one day
+ realistic enviroment

A+ first time i saw this - i hated it , now seeing it the second time i love it , easily kevin smith's best movie

I'm not too sure about this but in a review thread shouldn't you actually review movies? not just list 4 or 5 things about it then give your grade

I never could get the hang of Thursdays.
You are entitled to your opinions, even if this does include rating Rush Hour 3 higher than Blade Runner, but you can't call this a review thread if you aren't actually going to write reviews. How can you assume that the cut of Blade Runner with the voiceover is better than the Director's Cut without having seen it? Or even read anything about it, since you mention reading it on the back of the dvd for the first time.

voice narration in a movie is a major issue - it adds a whole new layer to the movie and makes it much more entertaining than if your just watching the stuff happen without narration

fight club A+
goodfellas A+
apacolypse now A
muppets in space A- (with commentary O_O)
casino A-
forrest gump A-
sin city B+

Absolutely. But it really depends on the narration itself as to whether it is any good, or fits the mood of the film. Seeing as it is such a major issue, and I agree with you on that point although no other in this thread, surely you would need to actually watch the version with voiceover narration before assuming it is better?

I didn't even feel that rating warrented a reply. Personally, someone like that doesn't have a place here. Of course, everyone is entitled to their opinion and the oppurtunity to pull their head out of their @$$.

A system of cells interlinked
I am sensing some cognitive dissonance here....

Are you going to actually review anything?

The Godfather : Part 3

+ al pacino is great

- horrible stories
- isntead of being done at amazing pace like the first , the stories are performed at suspensefull pace
- throws away all the classic characters and introduces new ones
- scenes that do nothing are way too long

D- on par with battle royale 2 for being a ton worse than the original

Meatwad… I hate to be mean… especially to someone I think might not even be old enough to watch some of the films they're supposedly reviewing … however, thus far, none of your posts in this thread would be considered actual reviews and all should have been posted in the
Movie Tab II thread…

If you really want to learn how to write reviews, I suggest you read some of the ones posted by various members in the review section at the top of this forum…
