Surveillance in Crime/Spy Thrillers?

Hey all

I have a short project coming up and i'm racking my brain trying to think of movie clips to include / write about.

I'm looking for surveillance type clips that have a few shots of a suspect or villain captured on a stills camera. Something like you would find in a stake out / mission briefing scene where you see the view from inside the camera and then hear the shutter sound as the camera takes the stills.

I can think of hundreds of times I may have seen it happen but can't think of names to put to the films or where the example would be in such films.

You definitely should check out the 1974 film The Conversation.

Take a look at "Blowup" by Michelangelo Antonioni (1966)

Enemy of the State is another good one that comes to mind (ironically, also starring Gene Hackman).

I second Enemy of the State and also Saw, it may not be thought of as a crime or spy film but I think the way they use cameras is well done as well as still images. Also potentially The Departed.

I don't know exactly how closely it meets your genre criteria, but The Dark Knight's climax involves the ethicality of private surveillance in extraordinary circumstances. It still pales compared to other films where it's a much more central and more deeply explored theme, though.
