Paul Reubens AKA Pee Wee Herman dead at 70

Comedian best known for the quirky children’s show star has passed away after a private battle with cancer. He was 70.
His career took a hit in the 90’s due to some controversy over being caught in a adult movie theater with his pants down. (Ba dum tish!). I’m sure he would appreciate that joke.

He is small parts in other films, such as a vampire in Buffy the Vampire.

Pee Wee Herman's Big Adventure is one of those films that I absorbed completely as a child and remember tons of even to this day.

Had no idea he was that old, or that he was sick. RIP.

R.I.P. I was lucky enough to see his live screening of Pee-Wee's Big Adventure in 2020 before everything shut down and he cancelled the tour. That movie and Pee-Wee's Playhouse were a big part of my childhood and they still make me laugh to this day. He lived it, all right.

He was also very funny in a recurring role on the CBS sitcom Murphy Brown. Lovd him in Blow with Johnny Depp as well. RIP

That sucks! I was a big fan of anything Paul Reubens did as Pee Wee Herman. What a character he created!

My reaction to the news was a very quick and successive "Oh no!" and "SEVENTY?!".

Too sad. Loved Pee Wee's Big Adventure and liked Big Top Pee Wee but as the years go by I find it harder to remember a lot of the latter film. I like him in a cameo as a waiter in The Blues Brothers when they're in the swanky restaurant causing a scene. Godspeed, Paul.

Pee Wee Herman was a guy who has his fingerprints all over my id. The kind of performer who has lasting impact if you see him at the right time in your life. This is a sad one.

I tried doing that, but I could never get a theater seat close enough to his.

I won't mention his name because I don't think he would want to be remembered for this one.

I didn't know he was sick, but I didn't have that shocked reaction at his age. I mean, c'mon. I knew he was older than I am, and I'm 62, so 70 seemed exactly where I would have guessed.

Pee Wee Herman's Big Adventure is one of those movies that stands the test of time. The humor is still as razor sharp as it was when the movie first came out.

Pee Wee's Big Adventure was a good film. He had some good sets as a comedian and some good supporting roles.



Some cop busts him for wanking in a porno theater, as if we didn't know what happens at those places. And what was the cop doing there all day? Ditto for the cop who busted George Micheal after showing him his penis and then making an arrest after George showed him his back. If this is what vice cops do, then they're sleazier than their suspects.
