Cool... I haven't listened to the Cranberries in ages... so I thought it was about time to dig them out...

Alison has a beautiful voice... right now the only CD I have with her on it is the sountrack from Cold Mountain....

The People's Republic of Clogher
The Divine Comedy - National Express

This song's got one of my favourite lyrics. Hannon's fantastic when he puts his mind to it:

On the national express there’s a jolly hostess
Selling crisps and tea
She’ll provide you with drinks and theatrical winks
For a sky-high fee
Mini-skirts were in style when she danced down the aisle
Back in ’63 (yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah)
But it’s hard to get by when your arse is the size
Of a small country

I got for good luck my black tooth.
On the way home from Maine today I listened to:
Exile on Main Street - The Rolling Stones
From a Basement on the Hill - Elliott Smith
plus a mix...

They had temporarily escaped the factories, the warehouses, the slaughterhouses, the car washes - they'd be back in captivity the next day but
now they were out - they were wild with freedom. They weren't thinking about the slavery of poverty. Or the slavery of welfare and food stamps. The rest of us would be all right until the poor learned how to make atom bombs in their basements.
