Even though I enjoyed it, I'm going to take your side. Having read the graphic novels before seeing the film, I knew the story wasn't really for everybody. Sure, it's got style, but style alone can't make a winner. I appreciate Frank Miller's work and all, but it's definitely an acquired taste (and sometimes, it's just poor taste - but what can you do but shrug your shoulders).
