More of a psychopath than sociopath, but I'll go with Evelyn Draper in Play Misty For Me.

After reading some of these, I'm kind of thinking a lot of you don't really know what a 'sociopath' is. But anyways, here is mine:

Basic Instinct - Catherine Tramell (Sharon Stone)

She's the perfect example of a sociopath, and despite the fact that she is such an evil person and you can clearly see what the other characters in the movie can't see, I find her incredibly likable. She's so charming and alluring.

Geraldine Chaplin in Remember My Name – it knocked my image of her sideways.

Then there's Amanda Plummer in Butterfly Kiss and I also really liked Lena Headey in Dredd.

Some other good ones are Isabelle Huppert in The Piano Teacher, Carice van Houten in Black Death and:

Evelyn Draper (Play Misty For Me)
Great example .

"I smell sex and candy here" - Marcy Playground
Ma-ma in Dredd (2012)

Ma-ma in Dredd (2012)

It was great to find out that she'd based Ma-Ma on a shark, and seeing the various ways that she used that in her performance. She's really excellent.

Kathy Bates as Annie Wilkes in Misery
No contest here...

Both of these are tough to top. Ill try and match them. hm
