What were your favorite albums of '07? Here are mine in no particular order. I look forward to seeing some of your picks because I didn't have nearly as much time as I would've wanted to keep up with all the music out there, thanks largely in part to last year's crop of movies being so good.

Yep, loved Life in Cartoon Motion, Icky Thump and In Rainbows. Absolute favorite, though, was Hissing Fauna, Are You The Destroyer? by Of Montreal.

I love it, people who actually like some of the same stuff as me.^^

The excellent In Rainbows deserves a spot here as well, but it's been mentioned enough. And I haven't heard the new Explosions or White Stripes...shame on me!

Ohmygosh!!! How could I have forgetten this one? I am such a lame-o. I got into The New Pornographers last year when someone let me borrow "Twin Cinema" and this newer album falls juuuuust short of being as good as that. I still love it though and thoroughly enjoy all the tracks.

The only new-this-year ones I heard are Les Savy Fav - Let's Stay Friends, Grinderman, Michael Nyman - Love Counts, and the new Einsturzende Neubauten album, I can't remember the title...

Actually, the only one I've listened to a whole lot is Let's Stay Friends, so it's not like there's much competition.

Admittedly, I don't listen to a lot of new music, but here are the cds I did enjoy from 2007:
