Never liked that Soul Asylum song. King Diamond I've seen live. He's awesome, and dramatic. I couldn't stop laughing the first time I heard him, and tbh, he still cracks me up. He's a real performer.

I love the first song. I'm one of those who associate it with the Miami Vice series. But it's up against APHEX TWIN. Adore Aphex Twin . It's off Come to Daddy, which is my favourite Aphex Twin album.

AAAAaaahhhh hard choice...I love that Beatles song. I remember the first time I ever heard it. It scared me. It's a bit unwell. I love Kyuss, and can't listen to it now without thinking of @TheUsualSuspect. Hard vote. I'm going with the scary one.

I don't like either song, but the first I could see myself belting into when I've had a few. And playing pool. Otherwise I'm no fan. But I run the other way with Babymetal. It's not the music per se, it's the vocals. Maybe it's like the Tom Waits thing with me and I'll get it in a few years' time. I went from not understanding why people listen to Tom Waits, to loving him in about a decade.

Never heard the first before, and I kind of like it. Was not a fan of The Division Bell when it came out, as I trailed off Pink Floyd after Waters left. I otherwise quite love Pink Floyd. It's just later stuff I'm not a fan of.

For a minute, I thought the second was a cover of that dreadful Sisqo song. I was wrong. It wasn;t all that bad, but it's hard to turn away from that chaotic but captivating avant-garde Revolution 9. The video captures the intensity and madness of the song perfectly.

Alanis Morisette - Thank You vs. Kinoko Teikoko - Ashikubi - Chose the second song. The vocals are a bit grating when she goes into the highest register, but Alanis makes me want to soil my own trousers and throw myself into the gears of a large piece of farming equipment.

"Weird Al" Yankovic - The Plumbing Song VS. Amorphis - Silver Brid - God I loathe a comedy song. I'll admit that occasionally it works, but it's so rare as to not make it worth listening for them. This definitely isn't one of them.


AC/DC - Thunderstruck VS. Babymetal - Song 4 - I quite like Babymetal. I was going to go with Chocolate as one of my nominations in the last two tournaments I've taken part in. Thunderstruck is good, but I just prefer this atm.


G-Schmitt - Holy Celebration VS. Pink Floyd - High Hopes - It isn't Pink Floyd and doesn't go on for 7 bloody minutes.


The Knack - My Sharona VS. Queens Of The Stone Age - No One Knows - I just love this song.


Jeff Buckley - Hallelujah VS. Stampeders-Sweet City Woman - I thought I might go with the other song but, God damn, that song is so good even his fannying at the beginning about can't ruin it and then I'm just carried away with it.


SALEM - Tair VS. Mötley Crüe - Smokin' In The Boys Room - The other is ok but I'm going with the classics.


Joan Jett - Love Me Two Times VS. Orange Juice - Felicity - It's a walkover for me.


Shoukichi Kina & Champluse (ft. Ry Cooder) - Subete No Hito No Kokoro Ni Hana O VS. James Brown - Living In America - I'm just so into this song atm, which is why I nominated it.

The Smashing Pumpkins - Disarm VS. Montell Jordan - This Is How We Do It - I quite like the second. Well, the chorus anyway especially, but it's not really a match up it can win with me.


Led Zeppelin - Kashmir VS. Kid606 ft. Mike Patton - Secrets 4 Sale - I'm tired today. Much too tired for the second one juttering. Too jarring for me.


Jimmy Castor Bunch-Troglodyte VS. DMX - X-Is Coming - I don't think I've heard the first one before. Really liked it so thanks to whoever nom'd it.
