The Spy who loved Me was my one pointer. Guess that makes up Godzilla Raids Again appearing as both mine and Nope's 25th 4 the fifties list.

Omni, you are saved from me using medieval seige weapons capable of launching 90 kg projectiles over 300 meters against you. (I know u hate memes )

Women will be your undoing, Pépé
Gladiator made my list at #12 Won't make any guesses at the top ten - no good at it lol

And my 1 pointer, of course, was:

The Three Musketeers. Besides being an all time favorite I did purposely pick it for a damn near guaranteed 1 pointer. Been enjoying getting one pointers ever since getting Robin and Marian in the 70's list by accident, so I will admit to blatantly going for it in this one.

#25 The Three Musketeers (1 pointer)

Watched: 83/90
Honorable:42/54
1 pointers: 16/24

My one-pointer was Headshot (2011), a Thai film about an assassin who survives being shot in the head but as a result sees everything upside-down.

My list so far, with predictions:
1. Probably fifth or sixth place
2. Probably eighth or ninth place
3. Kill Bill: Volume 2 (#60)
4. Won't make it
5. The Italian Job (H.M.)
6. Won't make it
7. Mad Max (#99)
8. The Crow (#31)
9. Big Trouble in Little China (#54)

12. Goldfinger (#73)
13. Won't make it
14. Alien (H.M.)
15. Ip Man (H.M.)
16. Beverly Hills Cop (H.M.)
17. Won't make it
18. Won't make it
19. Won't make it
20. Casino Royale (#53)
21. Shanghai Noon (film starring Jackie Chan, so we know for a fact it didn't make it)
22. Won't make it
23. Won't make it
24. Taken (#91)
25. Headshot (one-pointer)

You can't make a rainbow without a little rain.
First Blood (1982) - I've seen parts of this movie on TV, but I didn't like what I saw.
Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior (1981) - I tried watching this when it was nominated in one of HoFs, but I just couldn't get into it.
Seven Samurai (1954) - I've seen this, but I didn't like it.
Gladiator (2000) - I think I saw this movie a while back, but I don't remember much about it. (But I might be confusing it with a different movie.)
Star Wars V: The Empire Strikes Back (1980) - I considered including this movie on my list, but I decided to only include one movie from the Star Wars saga, and this wasn't it.

Honorable Mentions:
Scarface (1983) - This movie was way too violent for my taste.
Captain America: Winter Soldier (2014) - I haven't seen this movie yet, but I'm hoping to see it soon.
Hard Target (1993) - Never heard of this movie.

You can't make a rainbow without a little rain.
Welp, we're at the Top 10, if you have any predictions, now's the time.

Having done this Countdown now, I feel like I should've done things differently, namely favoring nominations over points. In a Countdown concerning genre it makes the most sense to consider the movies that most people think of when the question is put to them, rather than simply gauge their collective favorability towards specific movies.

I'll come clean here and admit my biggest complaint with the list, which some of you may be able to predict: Jackie Chan doesn't make a single appearance. Some of his movies were nominated, he was wildly underranked and largely ignored despite being an undisputed staple of the genre. That Segal makes the list, but Chan doesn't is pretty disappointing (others like Jean-Claude Van Damme is also conspicuously absent save an honorable mention).

To be fair, many of Chan's movie's are dramatic slogs, but the diamonds in the rough are more than worth including. Legend of Drunken Master (or Drunken Master 2) got a mention and it probably features his best fight and Rumble in the Bronx was also relatively high, but if a single on of his movies made the list, it would have to be the original Drunken Master, it's almost entirely fight scenes with all of the fast pace and creative choreography you can expect from Yuen Woo-ping directing without all of the dramatic and visual vomit of Crouching Tiger and Grandmaster YOU NOMINATE THOSE MOVIES AND NOT A SINGLE JACKIE CHAN MOVIE!? COME ON!!!

I think the only Jackie Chan movies I've seen are The Cannonball Run and the recent remake of The Karate Kid.

You can't make a rainbow without a little rain.
1-Pointers:
Appleseed (2004)
Blues Brothers (1980)
Children of Men (2006)
Cutthroat Island (1995)
Dog Soldiers (2002)
Executive Decision (1996)
Fast & Furious 6 (2013)
Headshot (2011)
Knockabout (1979)
Looper (2012)
Nacho Libre (2006)
Rush Hour (1998)
Stop! Or My Mom Will Shoot (1992)
The Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015)
The Deer Hunter (1978)
The Getaway (1972)
The Karate Kid (1984)
The Mummy (1999)
The One-Armed Swordsman (1967)
The Spy Who Loved Me (1977)
The Three Musketeers (1973)
Unforgiven (1992)
Universal Soldier: Day of Reckoning (2012)
Deja Vu (2006)

My one-pointer was The Karate Kid (1984), but I'm surprised to see that it made the one-pointers list. I thought it would have gotten a few votes, even if it didn't make the countdown.

My List:
2. Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope (1977)
3. Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan (1982)
5. The Avengers (2012)

5. Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl (#76)
6. Point Break (#27)
7. Demolition Man (#80)

14. The Fifth Element (#90)
15. Jurassic Park (#79)
18. Die Hard 2: Die Harder (Honorable Mention)
19. Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior (#12)
20. Pulp Fiction (Honorable Mention)
22. True Lies (#29)
23. Total Recall (#25)
25. Cutthroat Island (One Pointer)

I only have one more that I expect to show up from my list, which is of course Mad Max: Fury Road.

Love all the most recent five and the honorable mentions, but again, only one of my mine was on the list and that is The Road Warrior, which I think is a triumph on all counts: action, cinematography, script, and music, etc. Love this movie so much and had it at #18.

My picks that have made it so far:

4.Hard Boiled #21
5.Desperado #70
7.Dirty Harry #69
8.Commando #26
10.Spider-Man 2 #82

If Lets say a committee decides the movies ranked by 100 then what does it matter we send in lists if really they dont have a meaning . Its almost like Voting in the president election when the Electorial Collage decides who is president.

So i've heard. Just copying my post so i can post it again when Ned asks the same question in two pages.
I know how the list on here is made. When I say how or why i am not really asking a question too be answered i am merely am kinda commenting on how shocked I am over what movies made what in the system.

What are you even talking about?

6.
7. The Rock
8.

10. Hot Fuzz
11. The Professional
12. Casino Royale
13. 300

19. John Wick
20.
21. Point Break
22. The Avengers
23. Heat
24. Commando
25. True Lies

I'm surprised to see Con Air beat The Rock. Not surprised that all 3 made the list. Out of my remaining films, I'm confident that TWO will not show up. Fast Five and Equilibrium. I chose those two for different reasons and both because I felt they were going to go unrecognized so I wanted to show some love.

One for the car chases, obviously, it reinvigorated the genre. The other for the well choreographed gun fights.

I'm a huge JCVD fan, so I'm surprised I left all his films off my list. I'm not sure which one would have made it if I took a hard look at his filmography though. Time Cop? Bloodsport? Universal Soldier? Who knows? Glad that Hard Target hot an honourable mention though.
