Movies I've never seen...are they worth seeing

i recently made a list of movies i have never seen that i was playing on buying and i wasn't sure if they are really worht the money


Dark City
Cube
Gattaca
Alien (all 4 movies)
Blade Runner
Full Metal Jacket

What do you think about those movies?
Also are there and other movies that there is no excuse for and has to be seen

All those movies are good, although Cube is low budget...

Wasn't Dark City directed by Alex Proyas (The Crow and I, Robot)? I haven't seen it, but if you like his other work, you might give it a watch.

i hear that it was low budget but lot of people said it was a very good movie

i was also thinking on buying The Usual Suspects
i saw it a few years back but forgot all about it

Yes I have seen Cube multiple times, great film....

The Usual Suspects is totally worth buying. A Real Plot Twist. i think its 14.99 at best buy.

You should definitely see Dark City and Blade Runner.
And probably (at least) the first two Alien movies (Alien and Aliens).

Dark City and Bladrunner are definitely must sees. Same with all those films you listed but those two in particular.

Just back from my Alaskan cruise.
Highlights - art auctions at amazing prices, got my Divine Comedy original edition for the cost of the frame. All you can eat steak, lobster, shrimp, ribs... hmmmmm
Low points - Seen it all before not living too far from Alaska

For Cube I saw it since I heard it was good but to me. I really didn't like the movie. I mean it was okay but nothing I would buy. IMO

i have no particular genre i like i basicly like movies that are good
and i have no idea how did i miss those movies

i'm also not sure if i should buy Alien Quatrilogy or just the first 2 movies which i heard they were great do the other 2 movies follow the story and is it worth to see the whole 4 films

i also took into consideration of getting Twelve Monkeys (you opinion?)

Cube has the best opening scene EVER!
i really enjoyed it and so will you if you like the psychological level of a sci fi as well as the crazy-ass cube slaying gangsta **it goin on. You should definitley buy it considering nearly all copy's of it are under $15[aust.].... buy it.

Alien movies definitley require you to watch them before you do something drastic... like buying them. You will most definitley like them but its best you watch these first.
Don't hesitate with Full Metal Jacket. (my 3rd favourite war film)
Watch Dark City first. Just because its proyas doeasnt mean its immediately golden.(it is susceptible to overrating)
Gattaca is excellent. But not amazing enough to go and buy a SE 2-disc version or a $40 copy. get it if you find it for the right price
12 monkeys requires multiple viewings so just buy it and enjoy.

I saw Cube last night. There aren't many movies that keep me in suspense all the way throughout, but this was one of them. Definitely a good choice to rent.
