Just sat and finally watch Joker...
Small review... probably one of, if not the best comic book adaption ever made.
Psychological Drama... and I'm glad I told my sister to not let the kids go and see it when it was on in cinemas.
"It's a comic book movie! We've seen the MCU!"
From what I knew at the time, this was an adult movie with adult themes, not a run-of-the-mill comic book movie and I told the girls that this isn't the MCU.
And I was right. This really isn't like any comic book put to screen before.

It's about a man with an already broken psyche, possibly brain damaged, who's world is collapsing around him... who then suffers what can only be described as a gradual breakdown that eventually leaves him completely warped and detached from reality.

Amazing music and soundtrack.
Fantastic screenplay and writing that unfolds with perfect timing and exposition... the likes of which is rare in modern Hollywood.
And Joaquin Phoenix gives a powerhouse performance that actually rivals Heath Ledger's version of Joker in The Dark Knight in 2008.
My rating: An easily earned 100%
