Do you have a favorite psychological thriller?

My favorite would probably be Seven with Brad Pitt and Morgan Freeman. I just love everything about it and it's so weird and amazing.

Taxi Driver, Mulholland Drive, and half of Hitchcock's filmography.

In A Glass Cage, a film from Spain.

Oldboy, Repulsion, most of Darren Aronofsky's filmography, Fight Club, Vertigo, The Conversation, Straw Dogs, and Blue Velvet, but there are many others, these are just the ones I could think of within 3 minutes.

In short: I absolutely adore psychological thrillers.

This as well as SE7EN and Dead Mans Shoes off the top of my head.

Dead Calm (1989) & Prisoners (2013).

The Silence of the Lambs for me.

It's worth mentioning that I also love Taxi Driver.

Jacob's Ladder (the neat thing is, you don't really know what kind of film it is... horror? Sci-Fi? up until the end.)

I love Dead Calm...Billy Zane is mesmerizing.

The Bad Seed (1956)

The Children's Hour (1961. Not sure if this qualifies... it's a bit psychological, but not sure if it fits as a "thriller".)

I just watched The Bad Seed definitely a psychological thriller!

The Children's Hour, I'd say the town turning against the two women reminded me of something akin to the Salem witch trails, so yah, a good PT...Which makes me think of The Crucible (1996) too.

The Bad Seed reminded me of a similar movie called The Good Son (1993)

Then there are some other obsession-type thrillers:

The Hand that Rocks the Cradle (1992)

The Crush (1993)

The Babysitter (1995)

And then there's Falling Down (1993) of course!

Dead Mans Shoes is great

Les Diaboliques is my favourite as well as The Vanishing(1988 - original title Spoorloos) - very disturbing. Don't read anything about it if you have a mind to watch it cos you don't want to spoil it and definately don't watch the 1993 remake.

Nice to see some love for The Hand that Rocks the Cradle...very underrated film IMO.
