Bond Movies

Let's try to be broad-minded about this
K so in light of the new bond movie coming out i want to start watching some of the old ones and the only one i've seen sadly is Casino Royale and i know there are tons of them but i don't want to waste my time with the crappy ones so which ones do you guys think are 'must see'?

I'm not old, you're just 12.
Well, Goldfinger is a must see, thats a no brainer. And Goldeneye is fantastic, if you're looking for a more modern Bond film. I actually liked all of them, even some of the crappy ones. As a kid I honestly LOVED Moonraker, and most people will tell you thats awful. I actually still find it fun to watch.

Bright light. Bright light. Uh oh.
I'd add From Russia With Love (great fight scene between Bond and Russian agent Robert Shaw plus Lotte Lenya and her killer shoes!), On Her Majesty's Secret Service (four or five awesome action set pieces in the last half and the best ending), and The Spy Who Loved Me, which may be the funniest and the most spectacular. You've gotta love Jaws.

Every one I've seen is horrible - Dr. No was the least terrible though.
Why did you even post in this thread then? They're looking for suggestions from people who LIKE the james bond flicks. You're more than welcome to your opinion, but it isn't neccesary to state it here. If the thread was "what do you think about the Bond Films," then sure. A little courtesy even though this is only the internet.

I like them all. I still need to track down On Her Majesties Secret Service. For some damn reason you rarely find that one in the stores.

Someone asked me before which ones I liked the best and I'm not sure if I really answered them or not. I tend to rate most of them pretty equally, and if that means they're all crap then I'm afraid I can't help you.

I would put Dr. No and Goldfinger pretty high though I guess. Crap. I really kind of like them all in their own ways. I bought them all really cheap too so how can you go wrong just watching them all?

Seriously if you're becoming a Bond fan you're going to end up watching them all anyway so you might as well start at the beginning.

Some will say that Sean Connery was the best and only James Bond and I would say that's a bunch of malarkey. I grew up with him and Roger Moore both playing him and then I even liked Timothy Dalton too. Brosnan was also very good, so to me you really can't go wrong.

If you're looking to avoid the 'bad' Bonds, then just don't watch the last few of each actors output, as that's where they normally decline. Although, i am partial to a bit of For Your Eyes Only. Favourites would be From Russia With Love, The Spy Who Loved Me and Goldeneye. Those three should give you a fair flavour of Bond. There was a theory, not great one, a bit like every other Star Trek film, where the 3rd film from each actor is meant to be their best- of course Brosnan let that one down.

Couldn't tell you, just showed up on the Now Playing side...I think someone made a post and got banned and the post deleted

Yeah, I had noticed the message in question before it got deleted. Should've been the obvious conclusion, but you never know.
