i managed to catch this tonight. Was a full house by the time we got in there, it still amazes me how incredibly popular HP has become. Its a universal subject that EVERYONE just loves. Very odd.
The film was great, they do a good job with the adaptation as i, like most readers i should imagine had doubts how on earth they were gonna fit it all in, but they manage to do it pretty well, better than the adaptation of the Prisoner of Azkaban at least anyway. The biggest problems are the same faults as in the last films, namely the cast who seem to still have trouble delivering. Emma Watson plaing Hermione seems to have gone a step backward from her impressive performance in the third film. For some reason shes more wooden than ever in this one and scarily seems to rely mostly on her incredible moving eyebrows to deliver any emotion she has to portray. Radcliffe is the same as harry, still struggling with the emotional scenes, but doing much better with the more lighthearted scenes. Grint once again improves as Ron, delivering the performance the role deserves.
The triwizard tournament is done brilliantly, although i felt the scene with the maze could have been done a bit better, and all the other twists and turns of the story are presented quite well without being too confusing like this films predecessors. Highlight of the film is Fiennes as Voldy. He looks better than i could have imagined and gives an awsome performance as the big bad. The end scene with him is just superb.
This film felt very much like a British film. And i liked that.
Great Potter film that all the fans will love. i still prefer The Prisoner of Azkaban just because of its originality in the series, as this film leans a little more closely to the first two.
