What do you think the WORST movie of the last decade was?

Exactly. I actually did forget that one ever existed.

So many good movies, so little time.
To even mention Gladiator or Braveheart in this thread is silly.

If the thread was most overrated film of decade then at least you would be in the ballpark, although I wouldn't personally agree. Loved both movies. Being popular with the public doesn't make a movie bad.

Eight Crazy Nights was unwatchable and I can watch anything.

The Satchel Snatcher's on the loose
Vanilla Sky wasn't that bad.

But being incredibly lame and spending a good 3 hours attempting to perform fellatio on itself is a pretty good reason. Then again, that would characterize almost all of Mel Gibson's movies.

That was an awesome movie! Actually, I can't think of a single movie with Ada Sandlers in it that was bad.

Uh, no it wasn't. Like uconjack, the movie was very unwatchable. It's a terrible flick, not funny at all, how can anyone sit through this?

I can name plenty:
Mr. Deeds (Worst Film of 2002)
Happy Gilmore
Billy Madison
The Wedding Singer
Big Daddy

Basically every Sandler stupid comedy is a bad film, Punch-Drunk Love is really his only great film.

Oh my god, are you freaking serious? That was an unfunny, terribly performed film by two idiots. I'd say it's one of the worst of the last decade too.

Ever heard of people having opinions? You don't have to contradict every ****ing word I say. I'd say all those movies are great, especially Dude, Where's My Car. I've watched it many, many times and it never failed to make me laugh.

He also wouldn't have to if you weren't wrong so often.

"It is sometimes seen as an egotistical gesture when actors direct themselves, especially in heroic epics costing (so they say) $53 million. The truth is, given this material, I do not know that anyone could have directed it better. Gibson marshals his armies of extras, his stunt men and his special effects, and creates a fictional world that is entertaining, and thrilling. "

Oh, you really put me in my place.

First of all, everyone liked it at first. Mel Gibson is good at loading films with silly violence which is construed as depth. I liked it when I first saw it in theaters. And then I, yknow, actually paid attention to what went on in the film. To begin with, the characterization made little to no sense. William Wallace is contradictory and nonsensical. And slow motion was overused. From there, the violence is constant, and the battles are bloody. Oh. Okay. That MUST mean it's great. Because violence, no matter how homoerotic(see:any movie that is liked by gothy high schoolers) or how retarded(see:Irreversible) is seen as depth.

Braveheart blows. And, while we're on the subject of movies Roger Ebert liked that also blow, let's add in The Dreamers. Gee, that film wasn't gratuitous at all. I totally saw the need for it. Yeah. Definitely. Thirteen? Yes. It was so hard hitting and realistic.

I liked matrix reloaded but for me it was that bull**** movie twisted

I wasn't trying to put you in your place. I just commented on Gibson's direction (which you attacked) using Ebert's quote.

I agree with you about Braveheart. It is the kind of movie you watch in the theatre and enjoy. It is not the kind of movie that I can watch over and over and have it get better and better, like the great movies (I liked Rob Roy better that year).

I don't think there is a lot of depth to movies like Braveheart or Gladiator or Rob Roy, nor is there meant to be. They are what they are.

Not many historical epics are great movies. Its tough to make a Lawrence of Arabia.

I also would agree that Braveheart is not even close to being the worst movie of all time. But I have to be on the lookout for its staunch fans who hail it as everything that is right in the world.

Boy, are you stupid. See, it just so happens that I have opinions. As in personal beliefs and ideas. Taste in movies just happens to be one of those things. Never thought that would happen, eh? I mean how can it possibly be that a person likes a movie you don't? [/sarcasm] There's no right or wrong when it comes to movies imbecile, and if you don't understand that, I feel sorry for you.

You need a sense of humor. You've been watching too many Adam Sandler movies, he has warped your view of comedy.

Funny, I can't either. I can't even find a movie starring Ada Sandlers that even exists! Loved her in Who the Hell Are You Talking about 2!

You must mean Ada Sanger, who played that bank teller in that film no one ever saw.

Oh, Adam Sandler. He's an idiot.

Just my opinion though.
