The MoFo Top 100 of the Nineties Countdown

I feel bad about not nominating Crumb. I thought about it and I saw that several people nominated it and it came close to getting on the list.

Also, don't forget to check out the video I made a few days ago which I think was probably the inspiration for Weeman's video:

It's not as funny as Weeman's at all. He used this and took it in a whole new direction. Without my input, of course - I had no idea Weeman was gonna do what he did.

Chappie doesn't like the real world
I really expected it to make it. Towards the bottom, I figured, but I absolutely thought it would get on. I also that All About My Mother and Quiz Show were shoe-ins. Oh well. I still really liked a lot of the list.

I almost forgot. Thanks Harry for doing such a fantastic job running the list.

If Weeman's is funnier than that, I have to check it out. That was pretty hilarious.

Sorry if I'm rude but I'm right
I'm flabbergasted Pulp Fiction is not first. Too bad it's Goodfellas. Blah blah blah. Commence flame war.

Anyway, here's my list:

1. Eternity and a Day
2. Sátántangó
3. Ulysses' Gaze
4. Suspended Step of the Stork
5. The House (Šarūnas Bartas)
6. Three Colours: Red
7. Russian Symphony
8. The Legend of 1900
9. Secrets & Lies
10. Titus
11. Straight Story
12. The Double Life of Veronique

Look, I'm not judging you - after all, I'm posting here myself, but maybe, just maybe, if you spent less time here and more time watching films, maybe, and I stress, maybe your taste would be of some value. Just a thought, ya know.

I just woke up from a real strange dream: S C was a hot blonde girl and I was an Asian guy. We met in a club, hooked up, and made plans to move in together. My parents were still alive. I'm married and actually woke up feeling guilty. I usually don't remember my dreams anymore. Wtf I must be spending too much time in this forum.

Anyway, here's my list:
Cool to see you voted for In The Name of the Father, really good film that I might have voted for had I seen it again before submitting, only seen it once ages ago.

Ah my Wild At Heart vote just missed out on this list! 10 of my 25 films made it onto the top 100 list. Fabulous.
I almost included it as well, but opted for some more popular films, which I probably shouldn't of as they were guaranteed. At least The Straight Story made the top 50

This I submitted:
  1. Maborosi (1995)
  2. The Hole (1998)
  3. Eyes Wide Shut (1999)
  4. The Blue Kite (1993)
  5. Dead Man (1995)
  6. Naked (1993)
  7. In The Heat Of The Sun (1994)
  8. A Brighter Summer Day (1991)
  9. Close-up (1990)
  10. Breaking The Waves (1996)
  11. The Thin Red Line (1998)
  12. Being John Malkovich (1999)
  13. The Long Day Closes (1992)
  14. Groundhog Day (1993)
  15. Hana-Bi (1997)
  16. The Truman Show (1998)
  17. Beau Travail (1999)
  18. Short Cuts (1993)
  19. Miller's Crossing (1990)
  20. Days Of Being Wild (1990)
  21. The Double Life Of Veronique (1991)
  22. Moving (1993)
  23. All About My Mother (1999)
  24. The Sweet Hereafter (1997)
  25. Mother Dao, The Turtlelike (1995)
It'd take me some time to get the 80s list ready, though I have quite a good idea of how it should look like.

The Brave Little Weeman Returns!
Also, don't forget to check out the video I made a few days ago which I think was probably the inspiration for Weeman's video:

It's not as funny as Weeman's at all. He used this and took it in a whole new direction. Without my input, of course - I had no idea Weeman was gonna do what he did.
It was. After that, I thought I could make a similar video to commemorate the list. Then I thought of all those Downfall parodies.

I've got something planned for the end of this list, you might like it Sexy.
^Now you know what that means

I enjoyed being the moderator on this, so thanks for nominating (?) me to run it. And thanks to everyone that contributed, whether it was lists or comments or both.

As for what's next maybe we need a poll. I'm all for the Eighties personally.

^Your 3 that didn't make it are all outstanding movies.
The Insider at 109

Last of the Mohicans UNBELIEVABLY at number 176, after being voted #42 of all time on this forum in 2010. Quite a swing if I say so myself.

Couldn't see Rob Roy anywhere.

No love for the historical epic at MoFo's.
