Three Kings: George Clooney and Marky Mark, with a little Ice Cube for good measure. An underrated war film that explores the ramifications of the Gulf War in a novel way.
Hopefully I can rope my girlfriend into watching Frances Ha tonight. It's been on my list since I saw that it was streamable on Netflix, and its recent nomination has me doubly intrigued.
It looks interesting, but the mixed reviews kept me away from it for a long time. Tonight I'm finally watching it. My 37th Woody Allen film! I've almost finished his feature filmography as a director/writer!
Still on my superhero kick. So after I watched Superman last night, tonight I'll either watch the sequel or I also quite fancy rewatching Hellboy which I always thought was a pretty bad-ass flick.
Thank the gods for Thanksgiving break!...Except for when I have a massive project due and three exams right when I get back. Giving myself this day to relax and watch movies:
First up, Godard's King Lear
And after that, a classic Mizoguchi, The Story of Last Chrysanthemums
Was a fan of Shame so i want see McQueen's other films. I'll see 12 years a slave once it comes out on DVD. Shame was a superbly crafted film and one of the best films I've seen in recent memory.
Not sure what to expect with this one but I heard it's a rather solid sci-fi thriller. It seems original enough so I'll give it a shot.
