The Wolverine

The wolf of wall street above all else as Scorcese is my favourite director.

The name has been changed to Nightingale.

I plan to see this one as well, but I can't say I'm "pumped" to see it. As much as I love Phoenix, I didn't particularly care for The Yards, We Own the Night or Two Lovers, the other James Gray/Joaquin Phoenix projects.

-Iron Man 3 (cause I love the franchise, though I don't expect the 3rd to be great)

-Labor Day
-The Untitled David O. Russell film (look at the cast- Amy Adams, Michael Pena, Jennifer Lawrence, Bradley Cooper, Jeremy Renner, Christian Bale)
-Gravity (either really good, or really bad)

Scorsese always makes good movies and this seems like a very interesting project.

- The Great Gatsby (Luhrmann)
The trailer looks promising to me.

- Blue Jasmine (Woody Allen)
I like Woody's films and there's always a chance at greatness.

- Inside Llewyn Davis (Coen Brothers)
The Coen Brothers never disappoint.

- Only God Forgives (Refn)

@ Miss Vicky, there has been so many changes with the movie's name, I thought they changed it back to 'Lowlife' after the author of a book named that, dropped the lawsuit?

I'm really looking forward to 'Blue Jasmine' I've missed Cate Blanchett in a drama were shes the leading.

Really? Hadn't heard that, but looking at IMDb.com it is listed as Lowlife again. WTF. Still, not a fan of James Gray's work, though this is a period piece so maybe it'll be the exception.

Speaking of directors I don't like, it looks like Phoenix has been cast in Paul Thomas Anderson's upcoming Inherent Vice. I'm really glad he's working again, and his performance in The Master was stellar (even if the movie itself was not), but I really wish he'd pick different projects.

First four that pop to my head.

These are all strong choices from great directors (well I haven't seen any Luhrmann), then add in:

Twelve Years a Slave - Steve McQueen (whose films I have not seen yet, but is well acclaimed) + an absolutely amazing cast, possible the strongest of 2013

The World's End - Edgar Wright, a more fun director who brings us the long awaited conclusion to the Three Flavours Cornetto trilogy, fans of Hot Fuzz and Shaun of the Dead will be looking forward to this like me.

The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug - Peter Jackson, Okay the first had it's critics but I quite enjoyed it and will definitely watch the rest in the series, might look better once all together anyway.

Don Jon('s Addiction) - Joseph Gordon-Levitt's directorial debut certainly looks like an interesting comedy, decent reviews from critics it seems.

Sin City: A Dame to Kill For - Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller, I absolutely love Sin City so hopefully this is just as great.

Prisoners - I don't know much about this but Denis Villeneuve is meant to be good plus it has Hugh Jackman and Jake Gyllenhaal, so a lot of women might like this too

Malavita - Luc Besson directing (indifferent but the TLJ film he produced, The Three Burials was great), Scorsese producing, De Niro and Tommy Lee Jones starring.

Monsters University -

I've done posts like this before and there's a few others that I wouldn't mind seeing, I liked Abrams Star Trek and Verbinski's Rango so The Lone Ranger has potential although could become another silly Disney film with Johnny Depp (POTC series) as opposed to the intelligent non conventional/formulaic/audience-pleasing Rango.

Yay for the Hobbit

Star Trek 12, World War Z and to some extent The Hobbit 2

I'm definitely going to be all-over scorsese's Wolf of Wall Street. Scorsese is pretty much my favourite film maker of this era.

The Great Gatsby also, though I know it won't be like the book. It has Amitar Bachr (or however you say his name).
