Smells mystical, doesn't it?
That's Geoffrey Rush as the Marquis de Sade in Quills (my absolute favorite movie). Joaquin Phoenix was also in Quills and did a fantastic job of it, but I like his role as Commodus just a tiny bit better.
Have you seen the french film "Marquis" about Marquis De Sade? It's one of the most bizarre things I've ever witnessed.

Dustin Hoffman as Willy Lowman in Death of A Salesman

That's a horrifically overrated film. It's not that it's a bad film. Not at all. Just very average.

If he'd won an Oscar for that, he should've given it to the lighting guy. Don't even get me started on Crowe winning.

I was referring to his performance not the movie itself. When Joaquin isn't on screen in it I'm bored to tears, lol.

The lightning guy? Powder was nominated that year?

I love you, too.
Crowe is great in Gladiator!!!! GRRRRRR!!!!

*pulls out sword*
haha... Now, if you just scowl while you do that growl, you'll have his whole performance.

I don't think I've seen anything with Crowe where he actually impresses me.

Charles Bronson . Once Upon a Time in the West

Peter Dinklage. Game of Thrones

Precious tritium is what makes this project go.
Just got a brand new one:

Michael Fassbender as David in Prometheus, one of the best performances as a robot since...well a very long time.

Jeff Goldblum in The Fly
Kurt Russell in Used Cars

I'll second (or third or whatever) Daniel Day Lewis's performance in There Will Be Blood. I'm not DDL's greatest fan and sat down to watch the film with a slightly heavy heart, but... what can I say? A mesmerising performance (and surely based on John Houston?).

Also:

Ralph Feinnes - Schindler's List
William H Macey - Fargo
Samuel L Jackson - Snakes on a Plane

I haven't see it but is he a supporting role or a main role in Prometheus?

My top five
Brad Pitt in Fight Club
Robert Deniro In the Godfather part 2
Kate Hudson in Almost Famous
Denzel Washington in Training Day
Edward Norton in Primal Fear
Russell Crowe in a beautiful mind.
