Will a box set with all 6 Star Wars movies ever be released

Tools

I'm just curious. I have seen all six movies and liked them, but I haven't bought any of them because I'm waiting to see if they release an ultimate collection or something like that. If something like that is released, will it be on DVD or blu ray or both?

Once every last fan has bought the single DVDs and Lucas is sure of this then he'll release the box set, but only then so you better buy all six, Lucas knows all.

Like the fella says, in Italy for 30 years under the Borgias they had warfare, terror, murder, and bloodshed, but they produced Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, and the Renaissance. In Switzerland they had brotherly love - they had 500 years of democracy and peace, and what did that produce? The cuckoo clock."

Bright light. Bright light. Uh oh.
What's the point of this? I vote "redundancy" for this thread. Can I do that? I don't care; I'll do it anyway.

You guys ready to let the dogs out?
I've seen DVD boxsets of the first 3 and then the last 3 but not one with all of them together. Anyway those new movies don't deserve to be anywhere near the old ones.

Agreed. Those of us who feel Episodes 1-3 can't even hold a candle to Episodes 4-6 would much rather the box sets remain separate. Sure, I own Episodes 1-3 on DVD, but if I lose one of the discs, I'm not all that upset.

I'm sure there will be a box set containing all six somewhere around the time another major anniversary for the entire Star Wars saga comes around. Since Episode 4 was originally released on May 25, 1977, I would say that you'll probably see a 40-year anniversary collection some time in 2017.

I'd rather put all six movies in a plain brown cardboax box than see them release yet another set, I think.

My philosophy on this stuff is pretty simple, though: if you let people know what's going to be released in the forseeable future, hey, knock yourself out. If people buying a bare-bones DVD know a better one's coming out in 6 months, that's cool. And obviously we can all guess that something else will come out in a few years. But as long as a lot of time passes, or some reasonable warning is given, it doesn't bother me.

Watchmen is a good example of this. They have a version of it coming out on July 21st, but some other edition (which is not necessarily better overall...it seems to swap some features for others) is coming out at the end of the year. They've made this perfectly clear, though, so rock on.

Anyway, where was I? Oh yeah: stay outta my booze.

I wouldn't. They prequels are too flawed and just too uninspired for me to even want to have them as part of a collection. The only one I wouldn't mind so much is Revenge Of The Sith, but even that would be pushing it.

You ready? You look ready.
The only boxset I bought was the original 3's release to DVD, and I felt ripped off on that one. No more Star Wars boxsets for me.

Same as me. I didn't feel ripped off by it, but I hold a fond rememberance of the original trilogy, vice the new trilogy.

I remember actually thinking I got the wrong video, when I was younger, simply because it started with Episode IV. At the time, I was unaware that that WAS the first one. It always makes me laugh when I think about it.
