Very good documentary. We’ve had the movie Black Hawk Down, now these are the real guys who were there for the dreadful battles of October 3 & 4, 1993.

Total waste of life.

True Justice (2019)

Sensible follow-up after watching Just Mercy, which is based on Bryan Stevenson's work. Thorough and detailed, from his upbringing to his career outside of being a lawyer for the wrongfully convicted and unfairly sentenced, this documentary magnificently shows some facets of how our society can improve and correct some of it's wrongs.

I think that just talking about documentaries in the General Discussion could be a good thing.
I personally like watching docs on all sorts of topics - Cinema history, American history, Amusement parks and roller coasters. all sorts of topics!

Were you thinking of Class Action Park here? That's a great documentary I really enjoyed watching.

I've never been to Action Park, but I have been to Cedar Point, Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure, Kings Island, Six Flags parks in Massachusetts, New Jersey, Ohio, California, and vacationed at Walt Disney World in Orlando and Disneyland in California.
And I have watched several great documentaries on those places.

Tragic story of the murder of Gabby Petito by her boyfriend.
Funny how some content doesn’t resonate with anyone.

Just watched Black Box Diaries over the weekend. Really amazing stuff, it is infuriating how hard some men will try to make it impossible for a rape victim to try to get some justice.

Unavailable for streaming, but it’s in my Q.

Not true, but I need Paramount to watch it and I don’t fancy signing up because of one documentary.

This Netflix series has blown up the internet with atrocious reviews. I didn’t hate it. Fluffy stuff in 8 episodes. I’ve seen worse.

Very interesting documentary.

Ms Minnelli unfortunately is afflicted with encephalitis & seems to be wheelchair-bound. Not a mention of this in the documentary. Brave woman who stays positive.

What a talent!

anyone did a documentry on any horror movies

Sugarcane (2024)

Only Oscar-nominated documentary I could find on streaming right now, with this one on Hulu. Good, but not great. I remember this story of indigenous children abuse at Canadian religious schools becoming a huge deal years ago, and this just made me remember how cruel humanity can be.
I found the documentary short winner, The Only Girl in the Orchestra

Loved this 5-season show on Prime. Wonder why it wasn’t renewed. Bronx Zoo predominantly, but also the Queens Zoo & The New York Aquarium.

From Iowa and Back: The Vietnam Era (2025)

Went to a screening for this locally filmed and produced film, and its a commendable entry into the ocean of Vietnam war documentaries. It may not bring anything groundbreaking to the table, but I never really tire hearing about personal stories on this topic. Distribution still pending, so maybe keep an eye out for it later this year.
