Blake Lively
If there's one thing that this Lively vs Baldoni issue has done, it's that it further convinced me that social media is the biggest waste of time on the planet. The silliest too.

Does anyone actually want to discuss Blake Lively as an actor or her films? I think she is a good actor. I've seen 9 of her films (and every episode of Gossip Girl) and even when the film she is in isn't great, she does a good job.

I'm glad you brought that up, because I also wanted to ask: did you actually watch the video you posted, before posting it? Answer honestly, please.
Blake Lively Admits To 'Taking Control' Of Films In Resurfaced InterviewI watched the video. They play a small clip for us. She doesn't use those words. At all. She says something the gossip columnist hosts decide to interpret that way (perhaps reasonably; it's arguable), but the claim in the title is completely fabricated based on what's actually in the video.
That's why I asked if you watched it before posting it. Because it seems--and this has happened before--like you saw a headline you felt lent you support and posted it without checking anything. Which, incidentally, is exactly what people do when they get in this frantic, face-saving "I'll show you!" argumentative mode.
You seem to have the idea that you should be able to argue by the seat of your pants, and that asking you to find or verify sources, or even just go back and read what someone actually said earlier, is some kind of horrendous imposition. And that kind of laid back posture would be mostly okay if you weren't also constantly picking weird, arbitrary little fights at the same time.

I don't think it's a secret that Lively has "taken over" some movies or, to put it nicely always wants to add her ideas. She's been the part of production of a bunch of films along with Ryan Reynolds so this is pretty well-known. I don't think it's a bad thing...there's many great actors who are notorious for always having input and adding stuff into their movies (Sly Stallone, Dustin Hoffman, Edward Norton, etc) . Directors know what they're getting into when they partner with these types.

Good point that other actors also are known for having lots of sway in the production elements of the movie they are starring in. I've read that many times going back to the big movie stars of 1930s who would demand a certain director or have a director kicked off the project, etc. It probably goes back to the silent film era and before that the stage. Probably even happened to Shakespeare himself.

LOL. Shakespeare would have made short work of Lively.
