80's Movie - green bars make you high or drunk

A U.S. comedy film I saw as a child in the early 80’s. A green edible bar is invented, that when eaten, makes you high, drunk or horny. I do not know which as I can only recall that when someone ate the bar, they would suddenly have a huge grin on their face.

I remember that one person that ate the bar seemed to be a large Hawaiian man, as I recall. I think the bar had been invented by a tribe or something (I have a feeling it may have been a bar that had weight loss purposes, but there may have been side effects) so westerners see the bar as a money making scheme.

This film was shown in the early 80s in the UK. 1985 at the latest. I do not remember any faces or if there were any famous stars in it. Thank you.
