I have to go back & watch episode 1 again. Maybe it was me being tired, but it was all over the map & annoyingly confusing.
What’s with Goggin’s wife with the funny teeth? They seem very mismatched.
Yes, Belinda was the masseuse whom Coolidge befriended in season 1, but ultimately let her down financially. So she’s back, but now with her son. Doing some sort of something for 3 months in Thailand.
The other actress in the threesome is Carrie Coon, a well-known actress married to Tracy Letts. Gonna be mean & say she looked awful in her swimsuit. Not flattering at all & if I was her I would have asked for a better suit.
Regarding the ick factor some people have posited on X that the brothers are involved with incest.
Yes, Jonathan Gries returns.
Parker Posey I found so annoying. Over-acting & hamming it up.
Fairly sure the young guide speaks English, but have to double-check.
Belinda's with her son? How did I miss that? I thought she was in Thailand as an exchange, to learn their spa ways to take back to Maui (at least, that's what she says). How did I miss her son being with her? Or is he mentioned but not actually THERE onscreen?
Goggins's girlfriend (not wife) does have rather horse-like teeth. One of the staff actually compliments her on them, as a return comment when she compliments the staff member first. ("I love your teeth!") I immediately thought, Oh good, at least they mentioned the teeth.
Once you're hip-deep in episode 2 you can see that Carrie Coon's character is probably NOT supposed to be the best-looking of the three women. The other two are mentioning that she looks tired and run down, etc. So I'm assuming they purposely dressed her in slightly unflattering clothing.
As for the incest bit... yeah, those siblings are just... nah, something ain't right there with all of them, but especially the two boys.
I'm missing Tanya/Jennifer Coolidge this season. But this show does have a very dark underbelly, so... of course she didn't have a good ending.
Jason Isaacs is good as usual, but he flits in and out of a halfhearted Southern accent. I guess Parker Posey is making up for his unconvincing accent by overdoing hers.
