Also answers to Jabba
If it can be eaten, it counts. But if you want to blur the lines, have you seen Dumplings?
Added to my list. The less I know before I go into it the better.

I have a vision...
watch 10 films from the same director
ANTONIO MARGHERITI
1. And God Said to Cain (1970)
2. Web of the Spider (1971)
3. Seven Deaths in the Cat's Eyes (1973)
4. Take a Hard Ride (1975)
5. The Squeeze (1978)
6. Killer Fish (1979)
7. Cannibal Apocalypse (1980)
8. The Last Hunter (1980)
9. Car Crash (1981)
10. The Hunters of the Golden Cobra (1982)

A little something for everybody. Gothic horror, cannibals, westerns, Vietnam, car chases, Indiana Jones, piranhas.....

E. I have always depended on the lists of strangers:
[watch one film featured in each of the following prominent lists]
1. Roger Ebert’s Great Films Gone with the Wind
2. Steven Jay Schneider’s 1001 Movies The Sweet Hereafter
3. Sight & Sound’s Top 100 Vagabond
4. Cahiers du Cinéma’s Annual Top 10 Jauja
5. MoFo Hall of Fame Le Trou

Loved Vagabond. Did not care for Jauja or Gone with the Wind.

F. I see dead people:
[watch one film from each group of deceased directors, actors and cinematographers]
1. Eyes in the Night (Fred Zinnerman)
2. Wings (Larisa Shepitko)
3. Evil Under the Sun (Peter Ustinov)
4. Lost in Paris (Emanuelle Riva)
5. Asphyx (Freddie Young)

Wings was great. Lost in Paris was a grating mess.

G. Freudian Slip
[watch a film featuring each of the themes reminiscent of Sigmund Freud]
1. a film in which dreams play a significant role Nightmare
2. a film in which the protagonist is a strong father figure Encounter
3. a film with overtly sexual themes 37 Seconds

I'd strongly recommend 37 Seconds (which ended up not being as sexual as I thought it would be, though sexuality still plays a major enough role to fit the category). I really appreciate that they cast an actress who actually has cerebral palsy.

H. The Duality of Life
[watch a film prominently featuring each of the services listed below]
1. a film featuring a wedding French Wedding Caribbean Style
2. a film featuring a funeral Mr. Harrigan’s Phone

I. The Golden Age Part 2: The Warring 40s
[watch a 1940s Hollywood film for each of the challenges relating to the decade]
1. a film that won an Academy Award Devil and Daniel Webster
2. a World War II film The Long Voyage Home
3. a film noir Dead Reckoning
4. a film directed by John Ford The Plough and the Stars
5. a film starring Humphrey Bogart They Drive by Night

Dead Reckoning was fantastic. Like, I get shivers thinking about two certain scenes. Highly recommended!

J. Bella Italia!
[watch an Italian film for each of the challenges listed below]
1. a film from the 100 Italian Movies Restored list Love Meetings
2. an Italian Neorealism film Flowers of St. Francis
3. a film directed by Mario Bava Baron Blood
4. a film starring Totò The Hawks and the Sparrows
5. a film starring Sophia Loren A Special Day

A fine group. Probably most enjoyed A Special Day.

K. The End is Nigh
[watch a film matching each of the world-ending themes below]
1. an environmental collapse film Humane
2. a film about Artificial Intelligence Wallace And Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl
3. a film concerning nuclear issues Einstein and the Bomb
4. a totalitarian control film They Cloned Tyrone

Humane was only so-so, but I quite enjoyed the rest.

L. We built this just city
[watch a film tackling the following themes connected to the Social Progress Index]
1. Poverty Harlan County, USA
2. Urban Crime Hobo with a Shotgun
3. Political turmoil A Report on the Party and Guests
4. Female suppression The Stepford Wives
5. Freedom of expression Out of My Mind

I liked the Stepford Wives remake a lot more than I thought I would. Harlan County, USA was amazing (and depressingly topical, in a weird way).

M. Are we there yet?
[watch one film for each of the miscellaneous challenges listed below]
1. a film taking place in a single day Empire Records
2. a psychedelic film She is Conann
3. a narrated film Crimen Ferpecto
4. a film in theaters Nosferatu

She is Conann was really something. Everything else was . . . fine.

And, I'm done with regular mode.

Here's my list in full:

Regular Mode

This was a very mixed group. There were a handful I loved or really liked, but I was disappointed by how many films were just okay or even things I ended up disliking. (I'm looking at you, Flowers of St. Francis!)

It's still February. That is quite an accomplishment man! Congrats!

Please enjoy this free-use pic of people applauding as a reward for your accomplishment!
Aw, and you found one without a glaringly visible watermark!

Did you review Poor Things somewhere that I missed?

@Takoma11
Not yet. I am, with no exaggeration, about 80 reviews behind. I'm going to take the next month to do more catching up on reviews, then get into Nightmare Mode.
