Oh my God the gore in that film is disturbing. Does anyone agree with me on that? And Nitz, try your local library.

Eat your words! The Devil's Rejects is going to be a top tier exploitation horror flick. It will be disturbing. I refuse to accept any alternative from the man that is Rob Zombie.

The movie that has had the most profound effect on my life in terms of fear, and I say this with 100% honesty, E.T. I don't care what the hell anyone says, that mutha plagues my imagination.

This movie will suck. The only thing that's going to make it disturbing will be all the fan-boys who back it up because Rob Zombie directed it.

I like Rob Zombie, yes, but I still think House of 1000 Corpses isn't thing special, explain that?

House was his first outing. In it he created some pretty memorable characters and then he goes and makes a sequel in a vastly different (and better) style focusing solely on those characters? He'll get it right this time around.

Rob Zombie knows horror to an incredibly intimate level, yes, but he hasn't yet proved that he can make it on an equally intimate level. So no, this isn't a fanboy crush, the trailer is fantastic and the things that ruined the first movie are absent in this 'sequel'. So where's the complaints?

That was a little confusing, but to sum up what you're saying you basically think that since this movie is kind of a sequel he should get it right. If that's the case, I disagree. I don't think he created any characters worth rememboring. And while his collection of horror movies is impressive (MTV's crib is my source for that I think) I don't think he has what it takes to make a good film. The story may be there, even the characters, but judging by what he did as a director with House of a 1000 Corpses, I'd say he was just as much a fan-boy as the people backing up everything he does, not for what it is but because of who made it. And the trailer, I think it sucks too. It's looks like the same cinematographer being directed by the same guy shooting the same types of characters. I don't see the point in being excited for this movie. Maybe it's an issue of taste but I think it comes down to a low-talent director with a fan base, in my opinion.

I think you're giving too much credit to his fan base in regards to whether or not they like his movie(s). I for one waited years for House of 1000 Corpses to actually get released. And yah, I waited largely because it was Rob Zombie (though that killer teaser was what clinched it, but in the end that teaser had absolutely nothing to do with the movie). And I even dragged several friends to the theater, all people who are huge fans of Rob Zombie. Each and every one of 'em hated it. And each and every one of them shares your same opinion about the Devil's Rejects because they didn't like the movie, despite the fact that they're all "fanboys". And it isn't just my group of friends, the film was crucifixed by the hardcore horror outlets for not reaching what it attempted.

The Devil's Rejects is not an exploitation horror film like House was. Exploitation is a touch and go subset of horror in regards to whether it is entertaining or not and very few director's nail it. That isn't a justification for why House was subpar, but you should consider that Devil's Rejects is more of a revenge horror movie than grind house exploitation.

House was a contemporary attempt at original Texas Chainsaw but far more exploitive and the two just didn't mix. Devil's Rejects is going to be much more like The Last House on the Left. Translation, it's going to be pretty insane.

But I have a soft spot for the genre and am more forgiving than the average viewer.

BTW, you spelt remembering wrong.

Again, I'm gonna' have to disagree. I understand the new movie's gonna' be different. But I don't see his talent as a director improving. From the trailer I again see bad camera, bad make-up (even for alter-reality), and bad acting. And what I'm trying to say about the fan-boys is that there's a large number of people who would rather suck RB's ding-dong then admit it was a pickle. ?

The exorcist, deffinitly, the scences are so powerful, the shots, and the overall theme, creeps me out to this day.

Johnny got his gun looked pretty frikn disturbing. Although I never saw it, I did see the Metallica video "one" and that was pretty disturbing.

I just watched the movie U-Turn. No, I don't think it's the most disturbing but it is disturbing in some parts. The idea behind Dark City is pretty wicked too.

The End Has Come
Wrong Turn and Deliverence disturbed me to the point that I refuse to go anywhere near "hill country USA" except in a very big plane.

hahaha, wrong turn, damn that was a crap movie but it still scared me off woodland areas.

I tell you what the most disturbing film I have every partially seen was Irreversible... I bought it because I was told that it would shock me... let me tell you, watch this French film full of violence and rape... nothing will shock you again. I sold it the next day. The reason it is so shocking is basically because, and I don't mean this to sound strange but most hollywood films with rape scenes ' glamourise' them, in this particular scene no camera angles are changed, there is extensive violence towards a woman and the words that come out of her attacker's mouth sends shivers down my spine. I think, and not meaning to sound sexist, that this film will disturb more females than males.
