The trick is not minding
While we’re on the subject, there are four version of Invasion of the Body Snatchers:
1956 (seen)
1978 (seen)
1993
2007

I’ve read various opinions that hold the 1978 and 1993 versions as the best, and the 2007 version with Daniel Craig and Nichole Kidman as the worst.

There’s also plans to make a 5th version, currently.
Which one stands as the best among those who have seen them?

I think the first 2 are the standards, didn't even know about the latter 2.

The 1993 version is directed by Abel Ferrara (Ms. 45, Bad Lieutenant)

Roger Ebert gave it 4 stars and called it his favorite.

No kidding, I did not know that.

I didn't know there was a 1993 version. I've seen the other 3 and liked them all. The 2007 version had a neat ending but I'll give the nod to the 1978 and 1956 versions.

1956 version is the best, an 8/10 from me. The 1978 is good too, 710. 2007 version is alright, a 6/10. Haven’t seen 1993 version yet.

You've got about 10 good Body Snatcher movies...

(1953) - Invaders from Mars
(1956) - Invasion of the Body Snatchers
(1958) - I Married a Monster from Outer Space
(1968) - Goke Body Snatcher from Hell
(1978) - Invasion of the Body Snatchers
(1982) - The Thing
(1986) - Invaders from Mars
(1993) - Bodysnatchers
(1998) - Faculty
(2019) - Us

I went with the 56' because it's the best known one...if it does well I'll likely nominate more films like it.

@cricket you mentioned that @Takoma11 wouldn't watch Adam's Apples, was it because of the cat scene?

It's extremely mild and sets up the comedy.

@PHOENIX74 was concerned about it as well and I showed him the clip from YouTube, which he found very humorous.

There is an actual movie review for Christians but I think it goes a bit overboard.

Here are my findings, based on my firestick and I do have a lot of streaming services.

Vengeance is Mine - Prime rental $3.99

Adams Apples- not streaming

Stroszek - Tubi

Invasion of the Body Snatches - Plex or Roku Channel

A Moment of Innocence - not streaming

Das Boot - Tubi

Tomboy - not streaming

Goldfinger- Prime

Robot - not streaming

Anomalisa - rent $3.99

The Promise - rent $3.99 ( I had to use the French title)

The Year My Voice Broke - not streaming

That looks like a solid list. I haven't seen them all but of what I've seen they're pretty good.

Not sure exactly but there's nothing in the movie for anybody here to be concerned with. And it's a great nomination.

I agreed but it does have adult content.

The review mentioned sex. Lol no sex scenes but sexual comments especially about old Poul. I could be wrong but I'm sure that was his name.

it's one of my favorite horror films ever (I prefer it over the '78 remake). Looking forward to revisiting it

Goke is comparable to The Hidden in terms of Bodysnatching.
There was also a bodysnatching movie from the 90s called The Puppet Masters.

I love the Puppet Master movies.

We might be talking about different movies.
The one I'm talking about didn't have little puppets and wasn't part of a series as far as I know.
