I just saw someone else mention the story, and posted it, because I had a feeling most on here wouldn't have known about this otherwise.

That's just the tip of the iceberg. The loss of privacy is rampant, even our smart TVs and Internet connected new cars spy on us...And it was Data Privacy Day on January 28th, I doubt many care but if someone does care about being more private on the internet this 20 minute youtube video will tell you how to start.

Very nice overview. I use all of his suggestions, which allows for a high degree of privacy on the web.

I was reading this because I've struggled a lot with suicidal thoughts...I personally don't like how big tech has exploited the pandemic, and it's also unfortunate that therapists are all booked up now adays...


Maybe thats the silver lining to the cloud...my last therapist wasn't so great, they generally just tell you to take drugs when they are out of ideas.

Privacy on the internet is an oxymoron, especially if you want to use it for anything useful.

The distinction between "public and private" does not really exist

Big business.. I don't trust anyone in the medical industry or Big Tech or our spying agencies, which seems like a redundancy.

What kind of information do they want? Why people are committing suicide? Well, they know that. What genders in particular? They know that. What ages in particular? They know that. Governments know all that, people might don't know, it's funny, I was hearing co-workers talking about suicide the other day, they argued when the thing is happening everyone clings to life, they even said that was scientifically proven, people like to say that nowadays, scientifically proven, they didn't stop to think that these people commit suicide because they want to get rid of pain, and when they are in pain committing suicide they also don't want it, it's not clinging to life in the majority of cases. They even said that suicide happens after a certain event, something spark in the head, and they do it. I heard them, didn't say a word, but after a while I got tiresome. One of them said that one guy blown his own head and survived. I told them: You know, it doesn't happen after an event, it's something planned, like that guy that shoot his face?... people investigate, and in gun suicides, you put duct tape around the gun glowed to the shooting hand, that's for preventing things like that to happen, if people fail they have to finish the service. They didn't like the idea and asked me to end what I didn't started, then asked me if I wanted to commit suicide. I'm the happiest guy they'll ever find, and they ask me something like that.

It's very scary, but it's a rush because all problems are solvable.
