My Favorite Bill Murray Performances

I don't know why I waited so long to do this...I love this guy! Probably the most successful career from a former cast member of Saturday Night Live. A comic genius who has proven that he has the range to do other things that make us laugh, but let's be honest, what we really want this guy to do is make us laugh and this is something at which he rarely disappoints...the following are my favorite Bill Murray performances:

Love Bill of course, who doesn't? I'm curious to see if one of my top three performaces of his will show up, it is in a very stupid film but i love him in it regardless.

19.

Don Johnston, Broken Flowers

Murray's solid performance carried this turgid melodrama about a man who receives an anonymous letter from a former girlfriend informing him that he has a son and embarks on a journey to find the letter writer. In the hands of a lesser actor, this film could have been pretty rough going but Murray, Jessica Lange, and Sharon Stone make it worth watching.

17.

Arthur Denton, Little Shop of Horrors (1986)

Murray was very funny as a guy who REALLY likes going to the dentist...found it on You Tube and just posted the entire performance.

I loved him in Ghostbusters of course – never was the term The Real Ghostbusters more apt than this year.

Groundhog Day was a brilliant one, as was Quick Change. Both have some real gems.

I have to return some videotapes...
I know you'll probably get to this later, but my fav performance of his is for sure Lost in Translation (2004) I feel like he was robbed from the oscar. Surprised he hasn't been nominated more, he's got a great body of work.

OK, just wanted you to know that I watched The Razor's Edge yesterday and it will not be making this list...that movie bored the crap out of me. I am now watching The Aquatic Life with Steve Zissou and I will then continue to the list...thank you for your patience.

Can't believe I almost missed this thread! Very excited to see your list!

Love The Razor's Edge, but haven't seen the remake.

I like Bill in Get Low if you haven't seen it yet.
