HI, one of my favorite movie stars was Susan Hayward; so I tried to remember, and I don't think I ever saw it. Did Susan Hayward ever play a major Biblical character in a movie? She would have been great as Ruth, or Salome, or several other major characters from the Bible (The Old Testament, we're talking about,)
but I can only remember OTHER screen sirens playing any of them. Bathsheba, Queen Esther, you name it. Lots of hot mamas, but no Susan. If she never played one, I wonder why? They were not made in her era much? Or she only wanted to play modern women? She played alcoholics, famous singers, married women, career women, Texas-oil women, just about everything.Women on Death Row. But I cannot remember her playing a character from the Bible; seems impossible to miss that.
